LaGuamna M. Clemons, a compassionate, servant leader, has over 25 years of call center management and human resources management experience combined working in various businesses to include telecommunications, outsourcing, medical, and educational industries.  LaGuamna has extensive knowledge in the areas of employee relations, training, recruiting, coaching, mediation, and leadership development. She is passionate about creating positive work environments, and strategically advising C-Suite and Operational Supervisors on how to build positive relationships with their employees while helping them in successfully achieving organizational goals.

While in the telecommunications and outsourcing industries, LaGuamna served as Chair of the Culture Committee, Employee Engagement Committee, and was a leader in creating a Retention Task Force to help reduce company attrition. In the educational industry, LaGuamna was selected to serve on the Threat Assessment Oversight Committee, and the Title IX Implementation Team. She serves as a collaborative resource in assisting leaders with resolving their employee relations issues. In addition, LaGuamna has been instrumental in thoroughly investigating cases to ensure compliance throughout the school district, which minimizes risk to the organization. Throughout her career, LaGuamna has built bridges with managers and employees and helped to improve the character of all, in addition to helping to form community partnerships with organizations and universities to increase awareness of company initiatives. With LaGuamna’s passion, knowledge, and extensive experience in helping employees and organizations achieve their goals, her vision was to create a company that could help organizations build positive employee relations and create successful organizations. Therefore, CharactER Consulting, LLC was formed.

LaGuamna earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, VA, and a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Troy University in Troy, AL.  She is a certified Human Resources Professional in which she received certifications from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) organizations.  LaGuamna is a member of the National Society for Human Resources Management and the Peninsula SHRM Chapter. In addition, she is a member of the Denbigh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.  When not working, she enjoys spending time with family and getting involved with her sorority’s community service activities to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities and throughout the world.
